Today it is the Palacio Municipal de Chapala, where residents of all nationalities conduct government business. In January most resident North Americans and locals go there to pay the annual impuesto predial (property tax).
The annual tax bill for our two story villa home in San Antonio Tlayacapan is 798 pesos (76 dollars US), which used to be one month’s HOA fee alone in the States.
