Talk to me about Real Estate in Ajijic!
When we first made a permanent move to Mexico, people were amazed at how easy it was. Now we get lots of questions from old and new friends alike, who are really curious about how the whole thing works, and maybe just a little bit excited…”
Elliott (Katie) Joachim is a former telecom professional and is a full-time licensed realtor in Lake Chapala for four years.
She worked as a realtor in the USA with ten years of experience.
Elliott is a full time realtor affiliated with Absolut Fenix in Ajijic, and is also a certified Life Coach and retired Ballroom Dance Champion (“I loved the nightlife in the 80′s”), so if you are a typical Baby Boomer feeling just a little bit nostalgic, she fully understands. When we moved to Mexico, she said, “Honey, what the hell are we doing in Mexico?’” and keeps a notorious blog called Lifestyle Refugee which is all about living at Lake Chapala. Be sure to check it out.
Many Baby Boomers like us found that it was getting very crazy living in the USA with a sizeable income and still finding ourselves behind the Eight Ball like many of you have been experiencing. Living in Mexico is a different way of solving financial problems with the added benefit of a relaxed lifestyle in a gorgeous part of the world. Did I mention that it rarely gets down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit here all year long? The cost of living is at least half of what most people find their daily expenses to be in North America, there is lots to do in Lake Chapala, and the food is awesome.
Contact Elliott with your personal questions, and you could find yourself living in Lake Chapala!
